Duke of Firburg: The state of emergency will not be prolonged

After a pause, the Firburg letters report with a new article, this time asking the Duke some questions about the functioning of the country.

The country joined the Council of Micronations on 1 August, what do you hope for from this and what do you think has been achieved so far?

The Council of Micronations is a project that aims to improve cooperation between micronations and possibly resolve crises, which of course we hope will not be necessary. As for what the council is planning, there are several projects, and I hope that we will soon be able to publish all of them.

Firburg will celebrate one year of existence in 20 days, but you are still not crowned, why is that?

Since we don't have as much money as the macro states, we don't have the money to arrange a proper crown to match the pride of the nation. Yes, there is the possibility of some cheap, but not pretty options, not honouring our pride.

Back to the one year celebration, are you planning any celebrations yet?

Of course we are planning a celebration, you have something to look forward to, but I won't reveal anything yet.

The new constitution has been in place since June, which means three months and a few days, how do you think the country is functioning so far with this constitution and has the country not functioned well with the old one?

The new constitution has given us new ways to run the country and has simplified it, every citizen now sits in the Ducal Council, which means that everyone's opinion is heard. As far as the old constitution is concerned, I would prefer not to even mention it, because it was very inadequate, not only did it not correspond to the current state of affairs, it was merely indicative, which a constitution is not supposed to be, it is supposed to be very clear about how the country works.

With the new constitution, there is also a state of emergency, which should have ended almost three months ago and will be here for a few more weeks, why?

Because first of all it was necessary to ensure the functioning of the country in July and August because the Ducal Council could not meet at that time and now it is because there are some problems with the functioning of the council but all that will be gone soon, there will be no new extension of the state of emergency.

One last question, what about the appointment of the other Counts?

As there are only four of us in Firburk, it is not yet possible or necessary to appoint more earls, however I do plan to get new citizens into the Firburk Duchy!
